The freshly disclosed Toshiba Excite 10 LE has landed onto the gadget terrain to offer potential users a portable and lightweight companion. Previously going by the name Excite X10, the slab tips the scales at just 535g, with a profile measuring 0.3-inch.

This piece of hardware operates on the Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS, which is cited to be upgradable to Ice Cream Sandwich sometime in spring. A 1.2GHz Texas Instruments OMAP 4430 multicore mobile processor allows for seamless multitasking and a convenient web browsing experience.

Moreover, the Toshiba Excite 10 LE claims to be power efficient as it provides approximately 8 hours of battery life on a single charge. Notably, it sports a 10.1-inch diagonal AutoBrite display with 1280 x 800p screen resolutions. The exterior of the gadget is crafted with magnesium alloy and Corning Gorilla glass for providing durability and style.

Additionally, the slab supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth options as well as offers microUSB and HDMI ports. Photogenic moments could be captured by a 5MP snapper embedded on the back panel with LED flash and 1080p video recording capability. There is also a front-facing 2MP camera for video conferencing.

The offering is available in 16GB or 32GB memory choices that are expandable via a microSD slot entrenched on the slate. A horde of facilities from Toshiba such as File Manager, Book Place, App Place, Media Player and more, arrives preloaded on this sleek entrant.

The Toshiba Excite 10 LE price and availability details have been disclosed. Slated to unveil on March 6, the slab is marked at $529.99 (approx. Rs. 26,035) and $599.99 (approx. Rs. 29,475) for the 16GB and 32GB variants, respectively.
