Barely a week after the T-Pad IS701C tablet shone in India, the Pantel Penta T-Pad WS802C has entered the country with a capacitive touchscreen and a SIM slot in tow. Launched in association with BSNL, it will be offered with 2GB 3G data usage, valid for 60 days.
This tablet belonging to the ‘Wonder series’ by the company, is draped with an 8-inch capacitive multi-touch screen of 16:9 aspect ratio. The built-in SIM slot not only ensures voice calling, but also allows users to experience relatively fast 3G internet speeds without requiring an external dongle.

As the slate has been integrated with a Cortex A8 chipset that ticks at 1GHz, prospective users can carry out multiple operations at the same time. Similar to some of the recently released tablets, it gorges on the Ice Cream Sandwich platform too. Featuring 512MB DDRIII RAM, it comes with 4GB internal memory that can be expanded by up to 32GB.
Moreover, the Pantel Penta T-Pad WS802C is armed with a 2MP rear-facing camera along with a 0.3MP front-mounted webcam to facilitate video conferencing, capturing still shots and recording videos. The Wi-Fi-enabled tab also comes with built-in GPS and Bluetooth as well as an HDMI output. It is pre-loaded with applications like Facebook, Twitter and Angry Birds amongst others.
The 8-inch Pantel Penta T-Pad WS802C price tag reads Rs. 14,699 and it can now be pre-booked from the company’s website.
