After the Mercury mTab and the Reliance 3G Tab, the newest tablet to launch in India under 15K bracket is the Spice MiTab tablet. Operating on Android 2.2, it can also serve as a smartphone, navigator, gaming device and portable hotspot with multimedia features and social networking applications.

Embedded with a 6.9-inch 262K TFT HVGA capacitive screen offering an 800 x 480 resolution, the new tablet runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 800MHz turbo processor. It provides support for full HTML browsing and Adobe flash player and features 3G high-speed packet access (HSPA). The Spice tablet claims to give users a faster and smoother web browsing experience through its speedy webpage rendering (D/L 7.2 Mbps & U/L 5.76 Mbps).

Offering support for expandable memory up to 32GB, the Spice MiTab possesses a 2MP camera and camcorder with digital zoom, scene mode, white balance and color effects. Users are enabled access to YouTube on MiTab with steady streaming over Wi-Fi / 3G. They can also enjoy millions of apps available in the Android Market.

The latest tablet integrates AGPS and GPS capabilities with which functions like location and turn-by-turn directions tracking can be performed. To improve the gaming experience, it incorporates the Adreno 200 graphics processor. Furthermore, this new device supports POP3, IMAP 4 and MS Exchange so that users can keep a check on all their accounts.

The Spice MiTab tablet is now available at authorized retail stores across India for a price of Rs. 12,990.
