With the rise of tablets from various manufacturers in the county, Reliance Communications has released its very own ‘Reliance 3G Tab’ in India to elevate the competition. Loaded with the Android 2.3 OS, the company is the first to launch a home-brewed slate with capabilities matching that of any other device in the market.

Powered by an 800MHz processor alongside 512MB of RAM, the tablet comes with a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen. Equipped with features like the 2MP rear-facing camera and the VGA front-facing one, the device weighs mot more than 389g and is targeted towards all age groups. Additionally, the slate comes with other attractions such as push email and Documents To Go for business users, allowing them to send their mails with ease and conveniently work on Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and PDF attachments.

With its aim towards attracting users of all ages, the Reliance 3G Tab comes with the ability to play games, stream videos and access social networking sites over the 3G network or Wi-Fi and other network based features like Mobile TV, voice calling and GPS. On purchase, the tablet will feature fifteen applications to provide services like information-based, communication, entertainment, social networking and access to thousands of apps on the Android Market.

The Reliance 3G Tab is available in India for a price of Rs. 12,999 and can be purchased from Reliance World, Reliance Mobile stores and selected outlets across the 13 3G circles. What’s more, the company is providing the device along with a free 4GB memory card which can further be expanded up to 32GB and various ‘Super Value Combo Offers’ at 50% discounts.
