The Vizio 8-inch tablet now available for pre-order is said to provide users with additional choices for more fun and freedom. The tablet works on Android 2.3 platform and provides access to the Android Market for downloading innumerable apps for on-the-go entertainment.
The Android tablet powered by 1GHz processor is fitted with an 8-inch HD touchscreen of 1024 x 768 resolution. The Vizio tablet is pre-loaded with IR blaster and universal remote control app which allows users to control their home theater system through the tablet. Various profiles can be created to control devices while moving from one room to another.
The HDCP-compliant device can be connected to HDTVs through the built-in HDMI port to display the content on various big screens and monitors. The tablet is capable of transmitting stereo sound through two out of three purposefully placed speakers depending upon the orientation of the tablet.
The Bluetooth-enabled tablet with a built-in 802.11n Wi-Fi connects with multiple devices and allows video chatting using the front facing camera. The GPS of the device works without Wi-Fi or 4G connection. The tablet comes with an internal memory of 4GB and a slot for microSD card.
The bundle available at Vizio’s official website includes a 16GB microSD card and the tablet folio case along with the tablet. The ultra-thin convenient case can be converted into a stand with three different viewing angles.
The Vizio 8-inch tablet carries a price tag of $399.99 (approx. Rs. 17,800) and can be pre-ordered at Walmart, Costco and the bundle is available at Vizio official website for a limited period.
