OCZ Vertex 3 Max IOPS

While most manufacturers are chipping away at tapering off storage devices’ dimensions solely, OCZ infuses powerful technologies in a diminutive structure. The company has announced its new 2.5-inch Vertex 3 Max IOPS solid state drives designed to provide gigantic capabilities with portability hitched on.

With supreme functionality in mind, the new Vertex 3 Max IOPS edition features the cutting-edge SandForce SF-2200 solid state drive processor for enhanced performance. The assimilation of premium NAND flash components helps the solution put forth 4KB random write performance with up to 75,000 IOPS.

“Following the successful launch of our Vertex 3 SATA III 6Gbps solid state drives we are pleased to introduce the new Max IOPS edition,” pointed out Ryan Petersen, CEO of OCZ Technology Group. “Vertex 3 Max IOPS drives increase random write performance, and are the ideal storage solution for applications that require high aggregate workloads and increased IO throughput.”

The newest addition to the company’s widely appreciated Vertex 3 SATA III Series also ensures greater transactional throughput. The integrated TRIM support optimizes performance over the drive’s lifespan at the same time. For users who have huge amounts of data, OCZ has made its new drives available in capacities of 120 gigabyte, 240 gigabyte and 480 gigabyte.

The new Vertex 3 Max IOPS solid state drives come backed by a three-year warranty. OCZ is yet to reveal details on the latest drive’s pricing and availability.
