Western Digital launched its latest generation of My Passport portable hard drives for Mac today. Providing high capacity storage options and security, they have been specially built for use with Mac computers and Apple Time Machine.
Embellished with an all-metal scratch resistant design, the new My Passport Studio drive offer up to 1TB of storage capacity. The drive is said to be ideal for professionals such as photographers, videographer, graphic artist, or anyone connected to the field of digital content. It provides users with multiple connectivity options through two FireWire 800 ports and a USB 2.0 interface.
Delivering speedy transfer and upload speeds, the dual FireWire ports let users’ employ more drives and peripherals like HD camcorders. The drive comes incorporated with encryption and password protection software too.

My Passport for Mac is also available in the same configurations and is priced at $99.99 (approx. Rs. 4,882), $119.99 (approx. Rs. 5,858) and $129.99 (approx. Rs. 6,346.) respectively.
