The Synapse Cache series of SSDs that employs the Dataplex software was recently launched by OCZ These 2.5-inch solid state drives are optimized for caching applications and claim to cough up SSD-level performance with the capacity of an HDD.
This latest range of SSDs reportedly utilizes the newest and most advanced hardware and software technology for providing quality storage performance. The company opines that their new collection is a perfect marriage of SSD performance and HDD storage capacity.

The SSDs in this series mark the most frequently or recently used data as ‘hot’, while ‘cold’ signifies comparatively less often used data which is stored on the larger capacity HDD. The OCZ Synapse Cache series of SSDs is available now in 2.5-inch SATA III 64GB and 128GB configurations across the company’s global channel and comes with a three-year warranty.
