Similar to last year’s Bunny drive, the Kingston Fortune Dragon drive has been introduced by the company to mark the onset of the year of the Dragon. The year 2012 is said to be year of Dragon according to Chinese astrology and the Dragon drive is apparently the company’s way of welcoming the new year.
The Dragon drive forms a part of the Kingston DataTraveler Chinese Zodiac USB drive lineup. This collector’ item is aimed at users born in the year of the Dragon. The uniquely designed storage device comes in a distinctly designed box and package. It measures 49.4 x 30 x 32.7 millimeters.
“Kingston’s DataTraveler Chinese Zodiac series USB drives have been very popular among collectors over the years. The drive is a Collector’s Item and will have a lot of appeal with its vivid, delightful color scheme of red and yellow. I am sure this will resonate well with consumers of all ages,†stated Nathan Su, Flash Memory Sales Director of APAC region, on the occasion of the launch of the device.
The drive will be made available in India in 8GB capacity. It will be backed by a 5-year warranty and will tag along technical support service, free of charge. The media storage solution boasts of compatibility with a large number of operating systems which include Windows 7, Vista and XP as well as Mac OS X v.10.5.x or later and Linux version 2.6.x or later.
The Kingston Fortune Dragon drive release date and price details are yet to be revealed. The device is expected to start shipping early next year in the country.
