Quite an odd bird in the nest, Empty Memory is a jewellery collection that has jumped up on the tech scenario as a USB drive of sorts. Its amusing designs have been classified into two categories namely, structure and transparency, based on the looks that the devices sport. Both the offerings bring in style with functionality and a price to match.
The form factor adorned by both the sticks contains an empty space to highlight that these can be filled up by users’ memories. Since USB drives are used to transfer and share personal photos, videos and other multimedia files, this concept takes a note of that and materializes the idea. The transparent drive sports a vacant bar, while the structural design also displays a physical empty area. Created by Yoo-Kyung Shin and Hanhsi Chen, each piece is said to be cast in 316 quality stainless steel and hand polished to lend an enhanced look. The finishes range from black rhodium to rose gold as well as stainless steel, for potential users to choose from. The USB stick looks elegant and was probably crafted keeping in mind a certain concept of invisible technology.
