Seagate GoFlex Turbo Performance HDD integrates SafetyNet DRS

Seagate GoFlex Turbo Performance HDD The Seagate GoFlex Turbo Performance hard drives will now be incorporated with the SafetyNet Data Recovery Services (DRS) with no added charges. Claimed to be the first hard drive to feature free of cost services, it ensures recovery of the data stored in it.

The USB 3.0 storage device with 7200 rpm touts to transfer at a faster rate. The service will relieve users from worries of losing their data for two years from purchasing the drive. The plug and play portable devices have been available for users since May 2010.

When our products are used as a backup to a primary system or even as supplemental storage, people should know that they can get a further layer of assurance that their data will be there when they need it,” quoted Patrick Connolly, vice president and general manager of Seagate’s retail product group.

The SafetyNet backs up content stored in hard drives in case of viruses and damages to the device. The DRS worth hundreds to thousands of dollars are provided absolutely free of cost with GoFlex hard drives. Users can benefit once from the remote or in-lab services within the period of two years.

The 500GB and 750GB variants of the Seagate GoFlex Turbo Performance hard drive are priced at $119.99 (approx. Rs.5,417) and $139.99 (approx. Rs.6,320), respectively through BestBuy.
