A dual channel USB 3.0 flash drive by SuperTalent Technology, the USB 3.0 Express ST2, made its debut. The new 3.0 version is much speedier compared to its predecessor, USB 2.0. This device supposedly delivers cutting edge performance on the USB 2.0 or 3.0 buses.
The ST2 has almost the same characteristics as the company’s USB 3.0 Express DUO. It possesses 67MB/s of read speed and 24MB/s write speed. It comes encased in sleek aluminum and is embellished with a translucent blue plastic trim.
This plastic serves as a means to retain the cap and also acts as a light pipe for the enclosed blue LED. Measuring 70 x 18 x 8mm, this device is available in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB models. Other USB models in SuperTalent’s Express line include RC8, DUO, RAIDDrive and SuperCrypt.
Only the price of the 8GB USB 3.0 Express ST2, at $20 has been revealed as of now. The models are now in stock and are scheduled to commence shipping soon.
