The Japanese manufacturer has once again bounced back in India with another USB 3.0 hard drive, the Buffalo HD-PZU3 Series MiniStation Extreme. Complete with a rubberized base and shock protection elements, this portable storage device promises to secure digital data. Its 500GB and 1TB variants come drenched in shades of red, black and silver.
The rugged storage drive employs the USB 3.0 interface and is backwards compatible with USB 2.0. It is capable of clocking in an interface speed of up to 5Gb per second and can be utilized in conjunction with most PCs as well as Mac. The sleek lightweight plug and play device apt for users on the move, does not require an external power supply.

As mentioned earlier, this storage solution comes with shock protection elements for security against damage. It is certified with the US Military Standard and is capable of withstanding drops from as high as 2.3 meters. Also, this device is packaged along with a wrap-around USB cable to facilitate connections with various systems.
Moreover, hardware encryption of this eco-friendly drive eliminates the risks of unauthorized access to personal data stored in it. And that’s not all, it is also equipped with the Buffalo Backup Utility tools to take backup for Windows files, while the Time Machine support should safeguard files from the Mac computers. The included Turbo PC Ex data transfer utility claims to cut down on the time required to transfer files to and from the drive.
The 500GB and 1TB versions of Buffalo HD-PZU3 Series MiniStation Extreme hard drive prices are Rs. 5,200 and Rs. 7,500, respectively.
