After releasing a number of storage solutions in India, Silicon Power is out with another flash drive dubbed SP Marvel M01. Employing the SuperSpeed USB 3.0 interface, the Silicon Power Marvel M01 flash drive is said to deliver improved performance at an economical price.
The aluminum solid casing of the scratch and fingerprint resistant storage device adds to its durability. The flash drive sports a strap hole to facilitate attaching keychain or using it as an accessory. This plug and play device does not require external power sources. It is embedded with an LED light which indicates power on and data transfer status.
The icy blue colored flash drive tips the scale at 10 grams and measures 60.6 x 18.0 x 8.1mm. Its durability is apparently as much as 10,000 insertions and is capable of operating in extreme temperatures ranging from 0°C to 70°C. The M01 is available in variants of 8GB, 16GB and 32GB and is compliant with operating systems like Windows XP, Vista, 7 in addition to Mac OS 10.3.x and Linux 2.6.x.
The USB 3.0 flash drive is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 interfaces. Like all other Silicon Power storage devices, this flash drive too comes with the SP Widget application software for seven security and backup tools. Additionally, it also provides a 60 day free trial of the Norton Antivirus 2011.
