Not so long ago, Patriot was seen entering the market with Viper Xtreme DDR3 memory series. The company has now rolled out its new Torqx TRB series of solid state drives. The latest Torqx TRB series renders augmented system reception along with faster boot times.

Proffering shorter application loading times, the entire portfolio flaunts two huge densities of 32GB and 64GB. These peripherals are designed with the generation controller from JMicron dubbed JMF616. Read speeds of up to 260MB/s and write speeds of up to 115MB/s is ensured with a controller level cache of 64MB DDR2.

“As solid-state drive technology advances, we are able to develop SSD solutions that provide the performance users want while reaching the affordable price points they demand. Patriot’s objective is to offer the latest technology while providing the best performance and price options. Our Torqx TRB family of SSDs meets these goals,” remarked Les Henry, Vice President of Engineering at Patriot. “Users upgrading with a Torqx TRB SSD will benefit from improved transfer rates, quicker boot times and the reliability of solid-state storage in their boot drive option. Including a Torqx SSD in your desktop or notebook upgrade plans provides one of the best bang-for-the buck improvements you can make to your system.”

The Torqx TRB series subsumes support for the TRIM command in Microsoft Windows 7 OS. Promising durability and reliability, the lineup comes encased in an aluminum housing for avoiding common wear and tear. Employing NAND memory, these devices operate silently since they do not equip any moving parts.

Backed by a 3-year warranty, the new 2.5 SATA Torqx TRB series is now available. However, its pricing details are foggy for now.
