SanDisk Ultra SDXC

SanDisk seems to be betting on manufacturers releasing new devices that are compatible with SDXC cards for their latest offering to pick up demand if it hasn’t already done so. The company is out with their 64GB SanDisk Ultra SDXC memory cards that are cited to offer up to 15MB/s read speeds and Class 4 speed rating.

“SDXC is the successor to the popular SDHC card format. The 64GB SanDisk Ultra SDXC card delivers the speed and capacity consumers need for extended HD video recording and improved rapid shooting of still images. The card is an ideal complement for recently-announced SDXC-compatible cameras and camcorders,” commented Susan Park, director, retail product marketing, SanDisk.

The new cards are engineered to meet the 3.0 specification which enables the production of SD cards that can offer up to 2TB of storage capacity. Their exFAT file structure allows users to record lengthy HD videos, with the 64GB model being capable of accommodating over eight hours of HD video at recording speed of 9MB/s.

The 64GB SanDisk Ultra SDXC card is being sold through the company’s official website a $349.99 (approx. Rs.16,175) and comes backed by a lifetime warranty.
