Toshiba rolls out STOR.E ART3 pocket-sized external hard drive

Modern entries into the storage market seem to be putting their best forward in toning down the size of a storage solution! Now, defining the meaning of ‘portability’, Toshiba has recently announced a new eco-friendly external hard drive with a capacity of up to 1 terabyte, the STOR.E ART3.

The new easy-to-use backup solution holds up to 285,000 digital photos, 263,000 digital music files or 820 digital movies. Users can now easily backup their entire music, photo or home video libraries. With its pretty small dimensions and weighing merely 170 grams, the device is extremely portable and even fits into the smallest of pockets.

The STOR.E ART3 comes with a simple plug-and-play operation for beginners and offers customizable options for tech-savvy users. The offering boasts of the Windows-based NTI BackupNow EZ software, advanced search capabilities and simpler step-by-step restore functionality, to retrieve lost files.

In addition, it features extensive back-up options, advanced restore functionalities and an ability to overwrite specific original files. It also renders an option for complete system backup, allowing users to restore selected files or the entire computer, even if Windows is unable to start.

To notify, the hard drive lineup comes in two colors and two different storage capacities: one model comes in Raven Black and offers 1 terabyte, while the second model comes in Liquid Blue and offers a capacity of 750 gigabyte.

As of now, there’s no official word on the pricing and availability details of the new Toshiba STOR.E ART3 external hard drives.
