Transcend comes up with Industrial Grade CF200I CompactFlash Card

Transcend CompactFlash

With a full plate of reliable storage options available in the market, users shouldn’t be pinned on for being discomposed. Just after revealing ExpressCard adapter, Transcend now puts forth CF200I, an advanced version of the company’s high-end industrial grade CompactFlash cards. Designed to offer an unparalleled experience, the new cards utilize stronger error correction code and global static wear leveling technology.

With the company’s Flash Life Guard software, users can now have notification when the card advances towards the end of its life cycle. Since most flash cards have the possibility of becoming inefficient due to flash memory’s limited write/erase lifetime, the CF200I CF cards ensure to deliver a reliable experience with its new Flash Life Guard software. This essential tool automatically examines the flash cells in the card and alerts when the safety threshold for write/erase cycles is reached. Users can now peacefully manage their important saved data and lower the possibility of unrecoverable data loss.

Apart from this, the integrated StaticDataRefresh technology monitors the error bit levels during each read operation, while its EarlyRetirement technology moves the static data to another block before the used block losses the ability to reliably hold data. The cards also have the ability to correct data errors, ensure data reliability, and lengthen the lifespan of their flash memory cells.

Transcend’s CF200I CF cards provide temperature flexibility while resisting shock and vibration, and reducing power consumption. It can be used in industry-standard PCMCIA-ATA equipped devices due to its excellent compatibility and durability characteristics. These devices include industrial PCs, embedded systems, medical instruments, factory automation systems, network infrastructures and other industrial applications.

The cards transfer data with the help of Ultra DMA 4 as default transfer mode, while they can also support up to UDMA 5 under customizing request. The cards offer read/write speeds of up to 40MB/35MB per second, respectively, and claim to maintain the highest level of stability.

Transcend’s new CF200I CF cards are now available in 128MB, 256MB, 512MB, 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB and 16GB storage capacities. The pricing details are yet to be announced.
