OWC upgrades 27-inch Apple iMac with eSATA port

This might prove to be an exciting chunk of news for all Apple iMac users. Other World Computing (OWC) is offering an external eSATA port with the 27” Apple iMac desktop. Users can now employ an additional SSD drive with their gadget for enhanced storage capacities or high capacity HDD with the increased number of configuration options.

Owners may now use an additional eSATA external HDD with their Mac PCs. OWC also allows users to upgrade or replace the existing main bay HDD with the company’s very own SSD or 2TB HDD. By installing extra modules, users can also increase the RAM capacities on the gadget by up to 4GB/8GB/12GB/16GB.

Additionally, the original drive can be reused as a new external drive and add a NewerTech Voyager Q HDD dock to hook up the device to the Mac. The processor configuration options span over the 2.8GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5, 3.2GHz/3.6GHz Intel Core i3 and the 2.93GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7.
