India-based Seagate Technology has announced the availability of its one terabyte (1TB) hard disk for the next generation Maxtor Onetouch4 and Barracuda family.
The company is planning to target mobile customers, home users, and corporate segment with its new products such as Barracuda 7200.11 & ES.2, Maxtor One Touch4 Plus, OneTouch4 Mini, and OneTouch4.
Maxtor family, which comes with a five year warranty and Maxtor Safety Drill, is an exceptional solution to disaster recovery and is compatible with Windows Vista, XP and MAC operating system. It packs one touch synchronization and password encryption.
On the other end, Barracuda has been developed for demanding business-critical and nearline enterprise storage environments including: networked and tiered storage solutions, reference/compliance storage, disk-to-disk backup and restore, archiving solutions, rich media content storage and collaboration.
The home is now larger than the office in the amount of storage consumed and content continues to explode,” Rajesh Khurana, Country Manager (India and SAARC countries), Seagate Technology, “Whereas Barracuda targets high capacity storage needs of SMBs and enterprises like Data centers and call centers etc.”
These new products from Maxtor and Barracuda family will be available in mid-November through with Supertron computers. Seagate is also planning to introduce more products in the country in next year.
