Yesterday, LaCie unveiled Golden Disk, a 500GB external HDD. Besides, the huge capacity of 500GB, the Golden disk also features a stylish golden-coloured look.
The disk comes along with the LaCie ‘1-Click’ Backup Software, which is compatible with Windows and Mac OS and has an ability to operate without fan. Also, the disk has one USB 2.0 port for connectivity.
Other specifications of the LaCie Golden Disk are:
System Requirements: Computer with built-in USB 2.0 interface; Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista / Mac OS X 10.3 or higher; Intel Pentium II 350MHz-compatible processor / iMac, Power Mac G3, G4, G5 or Mac Intel processor; minimum 32MB RAM.
LaCie’s Golden Disk will be available in the US market by end of October 2007, currently it is available for pre-order on LaCie’s website. Its estimated price is $189 (approx Rs. 7,650).
