LaCie tosses in new Little Big Disk with Thunderbolt technology

Little Big Disk LaCie’s Slim Blu-ray drive enables tech buffs to effortlessly save ample amount of music, movies and images on a single disc. The company has now doffed the silk off its Little Big Disk storage solution which flaunts the latest Thunderbolt technology.

The unit uplifts the user experience with quick data transfers, compete system backup and rapid content editing. The Thunderbolt technology is capable of offering exceptional bandwidth at 10GB/s and efficiently runs two protocols concurrently over a single cable for improved connectivity to high performance devices like LaCie Little Disk and high-resolution displays.

Owners can easily connect their notebooks to high-resolution displays, cameras and storage options with the help of a single Thunderbolt cable. The newest entrant boasts of its capability to render multiple streams of HD video and offload hours of content without lowering bandwidth and performance.

The LaCie Little Big Disk is expected to be up for grabs by summer 2011 via the LaCie online store, Apple Store and authorized resellers.
