D-Link WiDi MainStage adapter connects laptop to HDTV

D-Link MainStage Adapter A wide screen adds that extra element to movies and games to make them more enjoyable and the latest offering from D-Link touts to grant this experience to laptop users. The D-Link MainStage adapter links laptop to big screen HDTVs, allowing users to display the content on the screen with HD clarity and 5.1 surround sound.

An Intel Core processor-based laptop can be connected to a TV with the help of the adapter by plugging an HDMI or A/V cable to view movies on the TV through the router on hitting a button. It can also be used to display presentations on flat-panel screens and work on the laptop at the same time.

“MainStage lets you wirelessly project movies and TV shows from Netflix and Hulu, or personal home videos and photo slideshows, to the best screen in the home, the HDTV. If you already own a notebook with Intel Wireless Display, it’s one of the easiest ways to work and play online from your couch,” informs Daniel Kelley, associate vice president of consumer marketing, D-Link North America.

The D-Link WiDi MainStage adapter is compatible with any Intel Wireless Display-enabled devices while 1080p, Blu-ray and other content playback is present in PCs with second generation Intel Core processor. Also, some requirements include built-in visuals, media player compatibility, graphics driver and Intel WiDi software installations.
