Epson Stylus Photo R2000 Printer

The technological advancements during the last few years and manufacturers’ constant efforts to strengthen the market have indeed influenced the overall demand. Enriching its product portfolio, Epson has introduced its 13-inch Epson Stylus Photo R2000 printer. The offering is capable of delivering vibrant, archival prints with a superior polished appearance that is enhanced for photography and other high-level creative applications.

The unit renders pigment-based inks, flexible media handling and larger capacity cartridges that offer around 50 percent more prints. The device enables users to effortlessly print their documents using Ethernet, Wireless-N and USB 2.0 connectivity options. The solution utilizes Epson’s MicroPiezo print head with AMC and Epson UltraChrome Hi-Gloss 2 ink.

The offering’s eight-color ink set benefits from the company’s high-gloss encapsulated pigments comprising an advanced gloss optimizer that develops images with a lustrous finish. AccuPhoto HG screening technology puts forth highly detailed pictures when printing in higher speed modes. This technology helps improve color gamut, smooth transitions and gradations as well as attain constant color under diverse lighting environments.

“The Epson Stylus Photo R2000 is an incredible tool for serious photographers, creative professionals and hobbyists who want to step up to superior quality printing,” commented Richard Day, senior product manager, Professional Imaging, Epson America. “Whether you’re printing a series for gallery display, producing a comp to present to a client, or making a 12×12-inch scrapbook page, this printer has the capability and versatility to deliver outstanding results that will impress the most demanding of critics.”

The new Automatic Ink Density Optimization feature offers prints with reliable pigment density and optimized color precision. The device intuitively chooses photo or matte black ink to create the deepest blacks and vibrant color on glossy, matte or fine art media. The integrated 100Mbit Ethernet for wired networking, Wi-Fi-certified 802.11n wireless technology and Hi-Speed USB 2.0 offer different options for swift connectivity.

The Epson Stylus Photo R2000 printer will be up for grabs this month via authorized resellers for $499.99 (approx Rs. 22,172).
