Xerox WorkCentre multifunction printers coming next month

WorkCentre Printers Xerox outs its new WorkCentre 7120 color multifunction printer (MFP) for SMBs. The printer is capable of taking color as well as black-and-white prints. It can print both document at speeds of up to 20 pages-per-minute (ppm) using Xerox’s Emulsion Aggregate High Gloss (EA-HG) toner. It produces smaller and consistent toner particles which enable crisp text and sharper color images.

The WorkCentre 7120 packs in advanced document management functions such as document routing to e-mail, network and content management software simultaneously for repeatable workflows, up to 55ppm advanced color scanning, faxing over IP, fax forward to e-mail and scan to or print from USB while the Xerox Auditron monitors color printing costs.

In addition, it also enables lower impact on the environment by consuming 3.08 watts of power in sleep mode and Earth Smart print driver defaults include two-sided printing without banner pages. Xerox also expands its line of black-and-white MFPs with the WorkCentre 5700 Series. It includes seven new MFPs which can handle everything from general office documents to high-volume print jobs. Offering print speeds up to 90 ppm, the MFPs lets users print, copy, scan or fax without interruption for quick turnarounds, scan documents in color, and also move to the next job in case the first one is in queue.

The WorkCentre 5700 Series provides advanced security features such as full support for IPv6 network security standard, Image Overwrite, fax isolation and Network Authentication.The WorkCentre 7120 and WorkCentre 5700 Series also incorporate Xerox’s Extensible Interface Platform.

The WorkCentre 7120 will be available at a starting price of $6,999 (approx Rs. 3,10,642) in Americas in May, followed by Western Europe and all other markets including Russia and South Africa. The worldwide availability of the WorkCentre 5700 Series is expected to be made available next month at a starting price of $7,475 (approx Rs. 3,31,746). Both are backed by Xerox’s Total Satisfaction Guarantee.
