Epson tosses in ultra-bright VS400 Projector

Epson VS400 Projector

Projectors play an important role in almost every other segment – be it professional settings or educational environment. Epson has just unveiled the first in a new series of high-brightness, low-cost projectors, the VS400.

This pocket-friendly projector offers users XGA resolution and 4,000 lumens color and white light output. Tremendously useful for business and education purposes, the projector enables users to execute ultra-bright presentations with vibrant colors in any conference room or classroom. The Epson VS400 with the latest 3LCD, 3-chip technology delivers true-to-life colors and detailed presentations. The projectors’ 3LCD technology renders an energy efficient light engine that creates crystal clear images.

“Epson listens to its customers and strives to meet their projection needs, whether it is for increased functionality or simplicity and brightness. The market has been looking for a value-priced projector with high brightness, basic functionality and the versatility for use in all lighting conditions. The simple, bright, easy-to-use Epson VS400, offering 4,000 lumens for under $1,000, delivers on that demand. This projector is the perfect value option for anyone who doesn’t need advanced connectivity options,” shared Jason Meyer, product manager, Epson America.

The VS400 proffers convenient control features like Direct Power On/Off to be powered with a wall switch and Instant On/Off to avoid delays in commencing and ending users’ presentations. The Instant On/Off powers the projector to switch on and turn off quickly with no cool down time. Users are enabled with value-added features like Epson’s exclusive E-TORL lamp technology which enables the lamp life to last up to 3,500 hours in economy mode.

To make presentations accessible to hearing impaired viewers, the device comes with a built-in closed captioning decoder. Moreover, the A/V Mute Slide instantly turns off the sound and images to create a quick pause in the presentation, conserve lamp life and energy, and save extra costs for users.

The Epson VS400 will be available beginning July 2010 for $999 (approx Rs. 46,200).
