New Win-Star USB 2.0 10-port hub looks chic

Win Star USB Hub

Gadgets buffs who never seem to have enough USB ports for extra peripherals can stop complaining. The sleek new Win-Star USB 2.0 10-port hub has come to their rescue with no less than ten downstream ports and one upstream port. After doing the math, that means nine more ports to attach those peripherals to.

This USB 2.0 compatible hub lends support to a data transfer rate of approximately 480 MB/s and offers backward compatibility with USB 1.1 too. Moreover, the manufacturers cite that around 127 devices can be connected together via daisy chaining. The hot swappable hub extends plug and play functionality. It intuitively switches to the highest speed accommodated by the attached peripheral.

The Win-Star hub works with Windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP/Vista and Mac OS X or a later version. It powers up attached peripherals through the 5V/2A power adapter that comes bundled in with it. So devices connected to it need not draw power from the PC. Also included in the packaging is a USB 2.0 cable.
