Sennheiser’s RS 160, RS 170 and RS 180 headphones bring wireless music

Sennheiser RS 170 Sennheiser offers music enthusiasts wireless freedom through their latest headphones which promise to enrich the overall audio experience. Users can now conveniently move around while watching television with this new offering. The company has come up with the RS 160, RS 170 and RS 180 headphones which deliver high-resolution, movie-theater audio through compressed transmission from Kleer. The headphones come equipped with dynamic transducers while owners can enjoy wireless music at a radius of up to 328 feet.

The latest RS models merge elegance with advanced cinema quality sound. Designed with several trendy attributes, the reflective surfaces in black, silver and anthracite make the headphones attractive. Fitted with soft padded ear cups and adjustable headbands, the peripheral can be used for long hours of television or music enjoyment.

“The RS 160, RS 170 and RS 180 headphones represent a perfectly cable-free, wireless sound experience. All three models offer highly impressive audio quality with no cables to get in the way. They all use Kleer transmission technology, which operates without compression and therefore without any audio detail loss,” remarked Maurice Quarré, head of product management for consumer electronics at Sennheiser’s global headquarters in Wedemark, Germany.

Flawless and balanced sound quality is now ensured with these new wireless headphones. The headphones improve sound quality further with dynamic transducers using powerful neodymium magnets and a distortion of only 0.5 percent, while the frequency response reaches from 18 to 21,000 Hertz. The headphones offer exceptional dynamics with sound pressure level of up to 110 decibels.

The RS 160 allure users with its advanced sound and powerful bass reproduction while users can directly control the volume from the headphone. The RS 170 is designed to deliver dynamic bass boost and switchable surround sound simulation. Finally, the RS 180 enables users to customize listening experience. Additionally, speech intelligibility can be made better through dynamic compression, whereas balance can be separately attuned.

Owners can connect their wireless headphones to a television set, stereo system or DVD player. When a transmitter is connected to an audio or video device, it intuitively transfers audio data to the headphones. Users can ensure smooth transmission with a high signal-to-noise ratio of 85dBA and this can be mainly done with the help of 2.4GHz digital radio diffusion. The Kleer technology enables users to share their listening pleasure among four headphones through one transmitter.

Powered with a wall adapter or batteries, the RS 160 adorns a diameter of only 3.75 inches. Aesthetically designed, the headphones can fit into a backpack with utmost ease. The RS 170 and RS 180 transmitters flaunt a vertical, desktop design that also serves as a charging cradle. The HDR 160, HDR 170 and HDR 180 receivers are now sold separately.

The RS 160 is priced at $199.95 (approx Rs. 9,268) , the RS 170 at $249.95 (approx Rs. 11,586) , whereas the RS 180 costs $299.95 (approx Rs. 13,904).
