Flora reveals Squishy concept remote control

Squishy Controls

The non-conformist shape that this concept gadget displays can be held responsible for grabbing at least half a dozen people’s fancies, if not more. Here’s a glimpse of the concept Squishy remote control from Flora designed by Khatija Aslam.

Yanko Design’s images of this compact remote control reveal a cup shaped form factor that could offer a comfortable grip over the gadget. The device is touted to be constructed out of a silicone outer shell which responds to pressure and tension.

Apparently, users need to operate the device by simply squeezing or pulling it. These gestures are then translated into various commands. The last mentioned is used to navigate data on the user’s PC.

Moreover, right at the center of the control is placed a small touchscreen which accommodates the user’s gesture inputs. The design and features of the Squishy Controls apparently require a lot of rework as of now.

All those mesmerized by this concept Squishy remote control will have to wait for any official word regarding the device’s availability.
