H17txt Bluetooth headset by Motorola comes with MotoSpeak

Motorola H17txt A lot of new headsets are competing for space on Verizon shelves. Motorola’s H17txt Bluetooth headset with Motospeak is now up for sale across Verizon Wireless Communications outlets as well as their online store. The device boasts of incorporating text-to-speech technology with the MotoSpeak application that is available for download via application stores like the Android Market.

MotoSpeak converts text messages to speech in real time, with users being given the option of creating an auto-response message that can be sent automatically to callers to inform them that the call cannot be picked up. Even text sender ID announcements are made by this device that is capable of translating 150 text acronyms such as l8t, lol, btw and so on.

“Motorola continues to promote responsible driving, by helping users keep their hands on the wheels and eyes on the road, no matter what comes in on their mobile phone,” affirmed Wayne White, corporate vice president of Companion Products at Motorola Mobile Devices. “H17txt with MotoSpeak reflects an enhancement in Bluetooth connectivity where consumers are able to stay connected in a more responsible way.”

The headset may be paired with a Bluetooth-enabled handset that delivers users turn-by-turn directions which reach solely the driver’s ears. Voice prompts keep owners informed on battery level, mute status, how to connect for the first time and so on. Users can also enjoy hands-free music, videos, games and streaming media with this headset.

There is no clear mention on the pricing details of this latest Motorola offering.
