The latest announcement from M-Audio speakers reveals the inclusion of new mid-range monitor speakers dubbed CX-5 and CX-8, in its Studiophile series. Slashgear helps us know more about it.
These new monitor speakers are somewhere between company’s BX and Studiophile DSM Monitor lines. Along with silk-dome tweeters with kevlar lower-frequency subwoofers, both speakers feature waveguides that ensure ultimate sound even for larger areas.
A notable difference is that the CX-8 equips an 8-inch driver while the CX-5 comes with a 5-inch driver. Otherwise these monitors speakers almost look alike.
Both these monitor speakers come with rear panel trim controls, RCA inputs and Neutrick combo connectors. The CX-5 offers frequency response of 50Hz to 38KHz , on the other hand CX-8 offers about 38Hz to 38KHz of frequency response.
Though there the exact release date is yet to be announced, the CX-5 is priced at $399 and the CX-8 will cost about $499.
