HP Photosmart Premium printer with Web connectivity

HP Photosmart Premium Printer

HP has introduced the Photosmart Premium with TouchSmart Web connectivity. The TouchSmart technology provides users with quick and easy access to the Internet. Designed for the digital generation and connected households, the HP Photosmart Premium displays applications on a 4.33-inch TouchSmart panel.

Apart from the pre-loaded applications, users can also download applications from the HP Apps studio. Users can browse through their favorite sites with just a brush of their finger. The Photosmart allows access to sites like Google, Coupons.com, DreamWorks Animation, Nickelodeon, Web Sudoku and more. These sites bring the daily news, maps, coupons, coloring pages, movie tickets, recipes, personal calendars etc. to the users’ fingertips.

“Twenty-five years ago HP invented consumer printing and today we are taking advantage of the digital content explosion to reinvent the category with an entirely new printing platform – powered by touch and empowered by the web. By giving people access to the content they want at the touch of a finger, the ability to customize their printing experience and create their own apps, and enabling easy ’one touch’ wireless setup, we are driving a significant shift in how people will be printing in the future,” said Vyomesh Joshi, executive vice president, Imaging and Printing Group, HP.

This printer is capable of printing and scanning, coping and faxing documents. The laser-quality prints and lab-quality photos make this printer ideal for household tasks. The device complies with the Energy Star specifications and features a host of wired and wireless connectivity options including the capability to print directly from Wi-Fi enabled PCs.

The HP Photosmart Premium will be made available this fall in the US at price of $399 (approx. Rs.19,335).
