Kingston Digital launches MobileLiteG2

MobileLiteG2 Card ReaderTo facilitate easy transferring of digital data, Kingston Digital has announced the release of MobileLiteG2, a card reader which lets smooth data transfer between flash memory cards and PC or Mac.

MobileLiteG2 is claimed to be the second generation of the popular MobileLite Flash card reader. This card reader is supported by card formats including SD, SDHC, microSD, microSDHC, Memory Stick PRO Duo, Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo and Memory Stick Micro (M2). MobileLiteG2 has retractable covers on each side to shield the USB connector and Flash memory cards from damage. The reader comes with a lanyard and small USB extension cable for easier access to USB slots. When the device is being utilized, the MobileLiteG2 appears as two drive letters, for e.g. E:\, F:\. Users have to just drag and drop for data transfer.

The MobileLiteG2 is seen as a standalone reader and is available with 4GB or 8GB Class 4 SDHC card. A two-year warranty is available on MobileLiteG2 and Kingston cards are backed by life-time warranty. The device is complaint with USB 2.0 specification, SD 2.00, SDHC 4.1 standard, new MS PRO-HG Duo standard. It is quite simple to plug and play into any USB 2.0 or 1.1. port.

The dimensions are 62.15mm x 29.40mm x 16.40mm while it weighs 18.90g. It is compatible with Windows 7, Windows Vista (SP1, SP2), Windows XP (SP1, SP2, SP3), Windows 2000 (SP4), Mac OS X v.10.3.x+Linux v.2.6.x +.

The card reader is priced at Rs. 759.
