Atlona unveils HDAiR wireless USB to HDMI/VGA adapter

Atlona technologies has recently publicized the innovative HDAiR wireless USB to HDMI/VGA adapter, capable of providing cable-free connectivity to a display from up to 30 feet away.

The device is designed to connect any Windows based computer to either HDTV or monitor through VGA or HDMI connections. It is developed on a powerful UWB technology. The adapter supports resolutions up to 1400 x 1050 or 720p. It offers flexibility by providing HDMI interface that is generally observed in flat TVs along with VGA interface, common in projectors and computer monitors.

Both HDMI and VGA output connections can be active simultaneously. Thus, permitting HDAiR receiver to power up two displays with identical content concurrently. The device is compatible with Windows Vista and XP. It comes with 32-bit true color depth for high quality images.

The package incorporates USB Sender, Wireless USB Receiver, VGA/HDMI base to hold the USB receiver, Universal Power adapter to be used with VGA/HDMI Base and user manual. The device requires USB 2.0 port, 512MB of RAM, Pentium 4 and minimum 30MB of free disk space.

The pricing details of the wireless adapter are not yet known.
