Toshiba dynadock wireless U docking station unleashed

Toshiba Dynabook Wireless U Toshiba brings out its next-generation dynadock U. The company’s Digital Products Division has now announced the availability of the dynadock wireless U USB docking station.

This universal docking station packs in wireless USB technology that negates the requirement of cable between the docking station and laptop.

“We designed the dynadock wireless U for universal appeal allowing all laptops to take advantage of its wireless features,” said Michael Cassidy, director, accessory marketing, Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc. “It’s a matter of convenience and consumers can connect peripheral devices quickly and conveniently through an automatic wireless connection between laptops and accessories.”

The highlights of this dainty device include its ability to act as a dynamic PC system that enables peripherals like external speakers, keyboard, mouse and more to be connected to the laptop. When within the range, it is also capable of automatically connecting to the laptop.

The touch of a button is enough to shut down all the peripherals. Widening the connectivity options are the six USB 2.0 ports which include two front Sleep-and-Charge USB ports to power mobile phones, MP3 players and other devices. Other attributes include Digital Audio card with high quality 7.1 surround sound, HD Digital Video card, dedicated video support, Bi-directional audio support and easier software installation.

The dynadock wireless U will be available through major consumer electronics and computer stores and at toshibadirect.com for an estimated retail price of $299.99 (approx Rs. 14,462). This universal dock offers compatibility with all versions of Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. The essential drivers for a Windows 7 upgrade will be available on October 22.
