Asus P67T WS SuperComputer Motherboard

Asus has announced the launch of the ultimate supercomputing solution for CUDA parallel programming, called the P6T7 WS SuperComputer motherboard.

This revolutionary and powerful parallel computing solution comes embedded with 7 PCI-E Gen2 x16 slots, high speed I/O as well as graphics and computing options. It is certified for Nvidia Tesla GPU computing that works on the Nvidia CUDA parallel computing architecture. Further, it is compatible with up to three Nvidia Tesla cards and one NVIDIA Quadro card.

Each GPU delivers 240 CUDA parallel processing cores, resulting in a sum of 960 parallel processing cores that ensure an enormous 4 teraflops of processing power. This feature promises to provide 250 times faster computing and graphics processing performance.

It claims to be an efficient solution for highly computational applications that run in the fields of life science, engineering science, financial modeling, electronic design automation and virtualization.

Other than that, the company also guarantees an incredible graphics flexibility with the incorporated 3-way SLI and CrossFireX support. It enables consumers to install up to three 3-Way SLI-capable GeForce graphics cards and even let them consider an alternative to run a CrossFireX setup. All these essential specifications are accessible with a true x16 PCI-E Gen2 GeForce 3-Way SLI technology that offers the best and reliable graphics performance.

Apart from that, users will get to experience innumerable storage options due to the integrated, cutting-edge SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) ports. It supports the company’s optional SASsaby card and boasts to be endowed with higher data transmission speeds and enhanced data storage reliability.

Featuring a breakthrough 16+2 power management technology, it has 16 phases to vCore and 2 phases to the vDRAM/QPI controller for advanced power efficiency and effective dismissing of heat generated by the VRM module.

Besides, it also bundles high-quality power components that include low RDS (on) MOSFETs, Ferrite core chokes with lower hysteresis loss and 100% Japan-made high quality conductive polymer capacitors – helping to boost the lifespan with the least power loss.

Based on the Asus-powered workstation, the motherboard has the ability to keep track of components (CPU, DRAM, VGA card and HDD) for errors at the time of boot-up. During any error, a lit diagnostic LED (next to the faulty device) will be noticed, indicating users to solve the problem quickly. After a successful boot-up, users will observe glowing LEDs at a standard tempo. An additional G.P. Diagnosis card is also available that gets attached to the TPM headset, conducting a system check to display errors if detected.

The P6T7 WS SuperComputer runs on an additional built-in operating system, dubbed the Express Gate, which enables users to access an array of applications and internet within 5 seconds.

It also supports 24GB DDR3 memory, Intel X58 chipset and an array of CPUs such as LGA1366 socket for Intel Core i7 Processor (Extreme Edition / Core i7 Processor), LGA1366 socket for Intel Xeon processor 3500 Series and LGA1366 socket for Intel Xeon processor E5502/E5504/E5506.

However, no word on the price and release date of the Asus P6T7 WS SuperComputer motherboard as yet.
