Adobe Creative Suite 4 (CS4) users can now heave a sigh of relief, with Nvidia announcing the GPU-accelerated plug-in solutions that are devised to function on a wide range of Nvidia Quadro graphics solutions.
The Nvidia CUDA architecture-based Elemental Accelerator 2.0 for Windows, developed by Elemental Technologies is one of the plug-ins offered. Influenced by the CUDA parallel computing architecture it offloads H.264 video encoding to the Quadro GPU. Thus the device offers Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 users to experience a performance increase of up to 11X when compared to CPU-only video encoders.

The Elemental Accelerator 2.0 is now available on a series of Quadro GPUs and is compatible with Blu-ray DVDs and web content by means of Flash. Along with this, Nvidia and Elemental Technologies are offering accelerated H.264 video encoding functionalities to Mac Pro users for the first time. Mac Pro users can enjoy the latest Elemental Accelerator 1.2 for Mac OS X that operates on the Quadro FX 4800.

Creative professional can do a host of activities like importing files, editing multi-video streams, previewing video content effortlessly.
Quadro GPU-accelerated plug-ins from Elemental Technologies are available from PNY Technologies Europe. These devices are offered at a special price when bought with qualifying Nvidia Quadro GPUs.
The PNY Quadro FX1800 + Elemental Accelerator 2.0 is offered at £459(Rs.36,623 approx). The PNY Quadro FX3800 + Elemental Accelerator 2.0 costs £769 (approx Rs.61,372), while the PNY Quadro FX4800 + Elemental Accelerator 2.0 is retailed at £1429 (approx Rs.114,055). For Mac, the PNY Quadro FX4800 + Elemental Accelerator 1.2 can be purchased for £1259 (approx Rs. 1,00,486), and the Elemental Accelerator 2.0 is available for £329 (approx Rs. 26,262).
