Elecom has introduced a new iPod dock with speakers called the Soundblock ASP-P300 Series. According to Techfresh, this dock is compact, lightweight and requires no batteries. These small block style speakers allow users to enjoy music from their iPod on speakers without worrying about the battery of the speakers going low.
These Elecom speakers measure 15mm x 60mm x 20mm. The dock is presently available in ten different color options including white, light grey, dark grey, yellow, orange, green, light blue, deep blue, pink and red. The dock is powered by the battery of the iPod itself and thus eliminates the need to separately charge the speakers.
The Soundblock is compatible with almost all iPod generations including the iPod classic, iPod nano and iPod Touch. Just place the iPod on the single port available on the speakers to enjoy loud and clear music. The small size of the dock makes it completely portable. However, this mini dock doesn’t support the iPhone.
The Elecom Soundblock will be made available in Japan from mid July and is currently available for pre-order. The Soundblock is expected to be priced at 4,000 Yen (approx. Rs.2,070). There is still no official word as to when this dock will be released outside Japan.
