Many would agree that with gadgets thinning down and becoming more efficient, so should their peripherals. Sony Optiarc America has designed the slim DRX-S70U-W multi-format DVD/CD recordable drive for notebooks and PCs.
The device is sold with the Nero DVD/CD mastering software suite and high speed USB 2.0 for set-up comfort. The drive is engineered to record up to 4.7GB video, audio, image or data on 8 x DVD+R media at 8X DVD±R recording speeds. It hits the 6x speed bump for 8.5GB DVD+R dual layer and 4.7GB DVD-RW discs,24x for CD-R/RW, 8x for DVD+RW, and finally, 5x for DVD-RAM.
“Our new slim drive was designed at the optimum performance level for consumers with netbooks looking to store and share home movies, digital photos and music on the go,†explained Jun Koyama, president of Sony Optiarc America.
The DRX-S70U chassis is crafted with portability and diminutive netbooks in mind.
