Epson America announces new Perfection V300 Photo scanner with 4800 dpi optical resolution. This versatile scanner is apt for everyday scanning needs. Using the high-rise, 180-degree lid, it converts photos and slides to negatives and documents to 3D objects.
The Epson V300 offers four scan modes namely Full Automatic mode, Home mode, Professional mode and Office mode. The Full Automatic mode automatically and quickly scans photos and documents simply by a touch of a button.
The Home mode offers more control over scans with easy and simple setting menus and one-touch functions. The Professional mode aims at advanced users and provides image correction tools while the Office mode offers functions found in Epson’s GT-series of document scanners.
The scanner equips four easy-to-use buttons that allow one touch, quick and automatic scan, copy, e-mail or PDF documents etc. With maximum hardware resolution of 4800 x 9600 dpi and 48-bit color scanning with 3.2 dynamic range, the users can create scans with remarkable detail and accuracy.
It comes with Epson’s exclusive Easy Photo Fix technology which produces amazing results in restoring color, removal of dust and grain reduction with touch of a button. Epson’s ReadyScanLED technology assures faster scanning speed and helps consume less energy.

Additionally, it features a built-in transparency for scanning slides and negatives. On scanning one 35mm film strip (up to six frames) or four 35mm slides with its V300’s film holder it can easily create enlargements up to 13 x 19″. This scanner also equips a high-rise, 180-degree lid that can scan oversized and 3D objects.
The Epson V300 Photo includes Epson Scan with Easy Photo Fix, ArcSoft MediaImpression and ABBYY Fine Reader Sprint Plus OCR. The V300 scanner is compatible Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional, Macintosh OS X 10.3.9-10.5.x, Windows XP Professional x64, Windows XP Home/Professional, Windows Vista and is TWAIN compliant.
The Epson V300 Photo scanner is expected to be priced at $99.99 (approx Rs. 4,374) with one year warranty. It is available at Epson authorized dealers, Epson Store Web site, mail order and consumer electronic stores.
