Sony Computer Entertainment Japan announced its plans to release a Wireless Keypad (CECHZK1JP) for PlayStation3 and a USB supported AC Adaptor (CECHZA1 J) for charging PS3 peripherals.
Sporting in Black color, the Wireless Keypad offers a QWERTY keyboard that supports roman letter entry for Japanese typing. It features Bluetooth Ver.2.0, built-in rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery and weighs 60 grams. It is designed to fit SIXAXIS as well as DUALSHOCK3 wireless controllers. The users can now input text right in the palm of their hands with out using the on-screen keyboard, thus they can enjoy chatting on upcoming PS3 titles to be released this holiday season which includes LittleBigPlanet, Resistance 2 and SOCOM: CONFRONTATION.
The AC Adaptor (CECHZA1 J) users will be able to charge the SIXAXIS or DUALSHOCK 3 wireless controller directly without the need to charge it through PS3. With two USB ports, the users can also charge another peripheral simultaneously.
The Wireless Keypad (CECHZK1JP) and AC Adaptor (CECHZA1 J) are expected at a retail price of 5,500 yen (approx Rs. 2,685) and 2,800 yen (approx Rs. 1,367), respectively. They are expected to be released in Japan on December 18.
