Logitech Introduces Two New Webcams

Logitech's New Webcams Logitech, a worldwide leader in IT peripherals, has launched two new webcams namely QuickCam Pro 9000 and QuickCam Pro having Carl Zeiss lenses.

The Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 is a two mega pixel camera having Carl Zeiss lenses. Besides, it sports an auto-focus feature. Thus users can get sharp images. Also the camera enables Video calling and sharing at 960 by 720 pixels.

The Logitech QuickCam Pro is mainly designed for the laptop users and incorporates all the features that the Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 has. Besides, it sports RightLight 2 Technology, which adjusts the camera to produce the best possible images in dimly lighted or poorly backlighted settings too.

“The incredible boom in broadband adoption is making video communication more and more accessible to people of all ages,” said Gina Clark, general manager and vice president of the Logitech’s Internet Communications business unit.

“Though Logitech has been delivering innovative webcam technology for more than 10 years, we’re thrilled to be working with Carl Zeiss, a company with more than 160 years of experience making great lenses. The first webcams with Carl Zeiss optics, the QuickCam Pro-series webcams, offer truly amazing detail and clarity,” he continued.

Both models, the Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 and Logitech QuickCam Pro will be on sale in U.S and Europe by July 2007 and will carry the price tag of around $100 (around 4,068INR) each.
