Logitech Stands and Bags

Logitech, a world leader in personal peripherals, has expanded their portfolio with four more peripherals which includes two notebook stands namely Logitech Alto Connect and Logitech Alto Express and two notebook carrier called Kinetik 15.4 Backpack and the Kinetik 15.4 Briefcase.

“People are buying laptops at a phenomenal rate due to the many conveniences they offer, but most people don’t think about the physical challenges presented by the compact design,” said Denis Pavillard, Logitech vice president of product marketing for keyboards and desktops. “With more than twenty-five years experience designing computer peripherals that are used for multiple hours at a time, we understand the importance of comfort. And for the Alto family, we’ve spent considerable time thinking specifically about laptop ergonomics. We’re confident these Alto notebook stands will allow people to be more comfortable and more productive.”

The Logitech Alto Connect is a notebook stand with four-port USB hub. The notebook stand is X in a shape. The stand is foldable and can be set in few easy steps. The stand gets ready just by crossing two leg-like parts across each other. The rubber bumpers incorporated with the stand ensure that the laptop is secured. The Alto Connect is compatible with any notebook, MacBook and MacBook Pro computers too.

The USB hub has four ports; one of the ports is located at the front of the stand for easy access when plugging in a device such as an MP3 player or thumb drive. Moreover, the Alto Connect stand offers a cable-management system and a cavern for storing the USB cable when not in use, which reduces the mess of the wires. The Alto Connect will be available in the U.S. and European market in September 2007 and will carry the price tag of $80 (approx Rs. 3,200)

The Logitech Alto Express is another notebook stand introduced by Logitech. This stand has stylish and elegant look and it is made of the hard, translucent plastic. The two stabilizing rubber-tipped feet at the front the stand prevent the laptop from sliding while the rubber feet at the back of the stand incorporate easy-glide polycarbonate material to make it easy to move the stand around once the laptop is on the stand. The stand accommodates storage of a keyboard and mouse under the stand when it is not in use.

The Alto Express is compatible with 15.4 to 17 inch notebook PCs and MacBook computers.
Some of the more features of the Alto Express are:

  • Lightweight
  • One-piece stand
  • Minimal setup
  • Two rubber tipped feet
  • The Logitech Alto Express is expected to reach in the U.S. by beginning of July and in Europe by beginning of August at the suggested price of $30 (approx Rs.1,200)

Logitech has introduced two laptop carriers, the Kinetik 15.4 Backpack and the Kinetik 15.4 Briefcase. Both of them offer an exo-shell casing, which helps protect the laptop from damage, and a contoured back panel, which conforms to the back. A unique compartment design provides organized bays for devices, and instant, easy access to the laptop and other equipment. Made from lightweight, durable materials, these notebook cases are easy to carry and built to last. Both, Kinetik 15.4 Backpack and the Kinetik 15.4 Briefcase will be available in the U.S. market in the September and in the European market by mid August and they will be priced at $100 (approx Rs. 4000).
