Apple is applying for a patent for a touch-screen keyboard, according to reports by MacRumor. This new keyboard is named as TouchStream and reportedly uses the same technology as iPhone.
MacRumor further says that “design shows a surface which allows for both typing and touch-sensitive browsing, both of which give a certain amount of tactile feedback according to the plans.â€
Apparently small bumps rise from the surface in the corner of each key, while typing making each key slightly-concave.
The TouchStream keyboard can be used as a keyboard and also as a multi-touch gesture surface. The keyboard action is called as typing motions while the touch pad action is called as swiping gestures.
However, MacRumors has not revealed any further information of its release.
