Not only has Nokia announced the Lumia 520 release date in India, but the handset has also been pinned with a pre-order label through various e-retailers. Just as expected, the company’s low-budget WP8 device carries a price tag of Rs. 10,499. Those interest can book it through various online shopping portals and it will be entering the market on April 8 via Infibeam.
As many know by now, it has been built to show off a 4-inch IPS capacitive touch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. Within its dimensions of 119mm x 64mm x 9.9mm rests a Qualcomm Krait processor accommodating two cores, each ticking at a speed of 1GHz.
The integrated 5MP camera hoisted on the back panel should assist users in capturing videos at 720p resolution and it is the only lens fitted on the smartphone. Owners will be able to increase the overall storage capacity up to 64GB by slipping a microSD card into the incorporated expansion slot. In addition to an inbuilt hoarding space of 8GB, the device includes 512MB of RAM.
The embedded 1,430mAh battery should render up to 14 hours and 9 hours of talk time to 2G and 3G users, respectively. Also, the device should run for approximately 15 days when left on standby. Owners will be able to employ the smartphone for roughly 61 hours with respect to music playback, whereas it will be active for around 6 hours if used for browsing over Wi-Fi.
Flipkart had previously made it pretty clear that the Nokia Lumia 520 will be welcomed into its abode, but it is now that the e-retailer has revealed its plans to release the device sometime in the second week of next month. Apart from the online outlet and Infibeam, Saholic has also made the handset available for pre-order at the same amount.
