Sony has chosen this month to launch the Xperia SP in India. The latest Android smartphone will be up for grabs by the third week and the Sony Xperia SP price in India is tagged at Rs. 27,490.
It will also be paying a visit to Russia, going up on sale at 17,990 Rubles.
Even though the manufacturer has proffered three colored variants across the globe, only the models splashed with black and white will be unleashed in the said region. Unveiled last month, the Sony Xperia SP aims at landing in the shopping baskets of mid-range smartphone hunters.
The Sony Xperia SP flaunts a Reality screen stretching as wide as 4.6 inches and spewing pictures and videos at HD resolution. An addition to the display’s visual output capability is the Bravia Engine 2 technology the manufacturer has incorporated. The embedded Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor employs dual cores, each of which scales up to 1.7GHz.
The roommates of the CPU under the hood happen to be 1GB of RAM and an Adreno 320 GPU. Up to 8GB of space has been made available for users’ storage needs. Complimenting this, a microSD card takes its place on the phone’s co-molded aluminum frame, allowing expansions of up to 32GB.
With 13MP cameras claiming recent top-notch smartphones, 8MP snappers are rapidly being adopted by mid-range devices. Not stepping away from this trend, the C530X offers an 8MP Exmor RS shutter wrapping autofocus, an LED flash and 16x digital zoom. Users will also spot a VGA webcam pasted onto the front panel to permit live video chatting.
Even before the Sony Xperia SP can step into the company’s e-store, Flipkart has made it pretty clear that it will be stocking the handset. Neither has the e-retailer mentioned the exact date when it will be marking the gadget with the availability tag, nor has it disclosed discounted MRP details, if any. Those intending to buy the device through the manufacturer can expect to find a free premium case worth Rs. 1,990.
