The Nokia Lumia 720 price of £299.99 and its release date for the UK has been disclosed by online retailer Clove. The mentioned sum is for the unlocked version of the device in question which will be launched along with the affordable 520 handset.
It is said to fall somewhere in between the 620 and 820 smartphones when it comes to features. Speaking of the appearance, the handset measures 9mm thick and tips the scales at 128 grams. The company has given it a unibody design which is crafted from polycarbonate. The rear panels are interchangeable allowing users to throw on a shade of their preference. And like the high-end devices in the series, this one supports wireless charging as well.
The front sports a 4.3-inch IPS ClearBlack touchscreen that tags along the super sensitive touch technology. There’s also an HD camera that can record videos in 720p and be employed for commencing live face-to-face conversations over Skype and other services. The device isn’t just pretty from the outside as the innards pack an attractive list of specifications.
Doing the heavy lifting is none other than the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor that’s clocked at 1GHz in a dual core configuration. Fitted on the rear is a 6.7MP camera with AF and an LED flash. The snapper also possesses a Carl Zeiss Tessar lens. The driving force within the handset is a 2,000mAh Li-ion battery that can produce around 13.4 hours of talktime or 520 hours of standby over 3G.
The Nokia Lumia 720 is due to be released on Clove in the UK starting April 1, 2013. The retailer will initially be making the handset available in black only and probably other color options of red, white, yellow and cyan will be in stock at a later date. As with the 520, this smartphone can be purchased right away. The second shade is up for pre-order through Expansys, but no retail amount or launch details have been provided as yet.
