Verizon iPhone 4 pre-orders to kick off in the wee hours of February 3

Verizon iPhone 4

We’re all for the adage about the early bird catching the worm, but talk about waking up at the crack of dawn even if it’s for the long-awaited iPhone 4. Ever since Verizon announced that they would slide in the Apple iPhone for customers, people have undoubtedly been keeping an eye out for anything in the name of pre-orders. The Verizon iPhone has struck out with a countdown proclaiming its pre-order date that starts from February 3.

The February 10 launch date may seem long delayed to a lot of Verizon patrons wishing to lay hands on the iPhone 4, but the pre-orders kick off way too early. Though it could sound ironic, 3 a.m. EST is not the hour at which people want to be shaken out of bed. It’s as if Verizon just wants to rub the launch of their celebrity of a phone in everyone’s faces with the pre-dawn wake up call. When we hit up this official Verizon Wireless link to the festivities, the timer showed 5 days and 13 minutes left until pre-orders are accepted.

We hardly need mention that new users are required to sign up for a Verizon contract in order to get the phone. The 16GB variant is priced at $199.99 (approx. Rs. 9,200) and the 32GB version will sell for $299.99 (approx. Rs. 13,775), both being accompanied by two-year contracts.
