White T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II to arrive this holiday season

Keeping the holiday theme in mind, T-Mobile has announced the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S II in a white edition. The carrier has kept the price and availability of this phone under wraps and it is stated to pack in the same features as its black hued counterpart.

The Gingerbread based device acquires its multitasking capabilities from the 1.5GHz dual core processor it embeds. It dons a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED multi-touch display on its 8.4mm chassis to render decent quality graphics performance. The powerful 8MP camera records high definition videos, while its front-facing 2MP camera allows online video calling.

The communication options of the device are inclusive of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi as well as 3G capabilities. The multimedia-ready handset supports services such as Netflix and T-Mobile TV in addition to the Samsung Media Hub which offers access to thousands of movies and TV shows. Its 16GB onboard memory can be expanded through the slot that supports SD cards of capacities up to 32GB.

Though T-Mobile refrains from revealing the price details of the white edition Samsung Galaxy S II as of now, it is expected to be priced on par with the black colored smartphone. The black Galaxy S II carries a price tag of $229.99 (approx. Rs. 12,040) along with a two-year customer agreement.
