Samsung Transform Ultra smartphone arriving via Boost Mobile this October

Samsung Transform Ultra Smartphone After Galaxy Prevail, the Boost Mobile portfolio now boasts of another no-contract handset dubbed the Samsung Transform Ultra smartphone to be available in October this year. It is said to be the first Android based smartphone from the service provider featuring the Mobile ID platform.

Operating on the Google Android Gingerbread OS, the smartphone is fitted with a multitouch screen. Additionally, it features a slide out full QWERTY keypad for input flexibility. The device employs a front facing VGA camera as well as a 3MP snapper on the flip side which is capable of recording videos. This speakerphone with voice activated dialing possesses functions such as voice mail, caller ID, call waiting and three-way calling. This GPS enabled device offers connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, wireless web along with Bluetooth.

Moreover, the Samsung Transform Ultra smartphone is pre-loaded with the Mobile ID platform allowing downloads and installation of ID Packs for apps, widgets and ringtones. Users also have an option to load ID packs for sports, music, entertainment, fitness and more. Further, the new monthly plan from Boost Mobile for Android devices will come with an additional $5 monthly charge and will continue to have the shrinking payment benefit. It will come into effect from October 6. Phone Insurance too is available with the Transform handset at $5 per month.

The Samsung Transform Ultra smartphone carries a price tag of $229.99 (approx. Rs. 10,918). It will be available through Boost Mobile and select retailers starting October 7.
